Republic of Panama
Panamaes Eco Project
Owner: Private
Status:
Initial Phase: Feasibility Assessment
Scope:
Develop a sustainable method to cool resort buildings in a campus configuration. The initial phase of the project is to determine the economic payback of the capital investment, determine the various methods for heat rejection on site, and develop a detailed GeoExchange system description of the project for review and approval as part of the Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) Study submitted to the Environmental Department. Some of the sustainable integrated features of the GeoExchange system’s cooling energy rejection include graywater and rainwater reclaim systems and use of a revitalized salt water lagoon. Due to cost factors of the ground heat exchanger installation, a portion of the load must be met with a hybrid cooling tower.

Dedham, MA
Newbridge on the Charles

Owner: Hebrew Senior Life (HSL)
Status: Currently In Design
Scope: NewBridge on the Charles is a planned, 162-acre multigenerational campus in Dedham that will bring together seniors and children in a setting of learning, living and sharing.. The system will be the largest hybrid geothermal project in the New England area. Geo-Energy Services served as a consultant on this project. Several meetings with the owner, A/E design team, and construction team provided a solution and recommendation through our technical knowledge and understanding of geothermal heat pump systems. Since that time, GES has been contacted to be the owner’s representation for the remaining duration of design and construction of the geothermal hybrid system.
